CFR qualified in Europa League groups after a more difficult match than they expected. How should they play after 1-1 away? To attack from the beginning or to wait the mistakes of the opponents? CFR chose the second variant. Antonio Conceicao let Mara on the bench and started the match with three Argentinians at the middle, Dubarbier, Peralta and Culio. The first half was very balanced, the Bosnians being decided to produce a surprise in Cluj. The guests missed two consecutive opportunities, the headers of Dudo (17) and Jahovic (19) missing the target with a few cm. With five minutes before half time, Kone opened the score with a lob from 6 meters, after an inspired deflection of Dubarbier. The second half found the players of Conceicao more determined, the hosts having more opportunities. Peralta (49) failed to increase the advantage from three meters and the shot of Muresan was rejected very hard by Bosnian goalkeeper. FK Sarajevo missed a monumental opportunity in 64th minute, when Hadzic failed to push the ball into the net after two consecutive actions, the last with empty net. CFR made 2-0 in 69th minute, when Muresan headed after a corner executed by Culio. Bosnians reduced the difference in 81st minute, when Avdic pushed the ball into the net after goalkeeper Nuno Claro rejected a shot elsewhere. The final of match was very tense. The guests needed one goal to qualify, while the hosts have done everything possible to keep the ball away from the post of Nuno Claro. Conceicao's team faced the pressure successfully, and Mara (82) and Culio (87) were close to score the third goal. The last action of the game, a corner for the Bosnians, found the goalkeeper of Sarajevo in the box of CFR, but the hosts managed to reject. Right away, Dubarbier started the counter attack, but he passed to Traore instead to send a shot from 30 meters, the post of Sarajevo being empty.

Antonio Conceicao, coach of CFR Cluj: "I'm very happy for qualification and we will try to qualify in European spring. We already accomplished two of our objectives, winning of Supercup and qualification in groups. We form a good team and we must continue to think positive. We deserved this qualification, because my players proved that are better than Bosnians".

CFR 1907 Cluj won 3-2 on aggregate and qualified for the group stage of Europa League (K)
