Dinamo had problems in first minutes, but then started to dominate the game, missing the first opportunity through Andrei Cristea, who hit the bar with a header, after a corner kick from right side. The hosts responded through Pasenciuc, who shot beside the post of Dinamo from a few meters, after he almost broke the spine of Sergiu Homei. However, the right defender of the guests created superiority on his side. When the hosts have stopped for a supposed foul, Homei crossed perfect for Pulhac, who made 1-0 for Romanians. From that moment Dinamo remained calm at the helm of the game, because of overcrowding in the middle, the strategy being thought by the new coach of "red dogs". The balance was broken by elimination of Marius Niculae (58). The hosts took advantage and started to attack, especially through Camara. In 66th minute, Pasenciuc has missed the opportunity of the match, he failing to score from 4 meters. Andone sent Torje and Catalin Munteanu on the field in the place of Kone and Adrian Cristea, the game of Dinamo being then more balanced. However, the coach remained inspired, because in 81st minute he sent Liviu Ganea on the field. Two minutes later, the striker scored the second goal for Dinamo, after he remained alone with the keeper of Olimpia.

Ioan Andone, coach of Dinamo: "It was a good game, my team deserving the victory. The first half was balanced, when we were lucky to score. Second part of the game was better, but tougher, two players being eliminated. It is a fair result and we have more chances to qualify. I hope we will win in Bucharest too".
